Five Star Sailing Limited is Royal Yachting Association (RYA)
approved sailing and powerboat school, race training centre, Yacht
Charter business and provider of corporate events in the Solent.
Based ar Stone Pier Yard, Shore Road, Warsash on the River Hamble, you have easy access to the
whole of the Solent, and by starting your event from Warsash, can be
sailing 'The Solent' within 10 minutes of leaving the marina, just
long enough to get the feel of the boat.
Our sailing lessons cover both practical and shore based RYA
syllabus including competent crew, day skipper, coastal skipper and
yacht master levels. Our shore based courses cover first aid, GMDSS
radio, diesel maintenance and as well as the RYA day skipper,
Yachtmaster® and ocean master theory.
In addition to the RYA courses we run race navigation and race
training courses in preparation for events such as the Fastnet Race
and Cork Week as well as the various regattas that are held on the
Solent.
We also have a very successful Power Boat School using RIB’s running
the RYA courses from Level 1 and 2 to intermediate and advanced.
Our successful charter business uses a variety of yachts ranging in
size from 35 to 40 foot. Our fleet includes a number of J-Boats, the
J105, J109, and J120, all of which have asymmetric spinnakers. They
are exhilarating to sail but do not have the complexity of
conventional spinnakers making them far safer to use. Other boats
such as the Oceanis 411, First 40.7, Prima 38 and Sigma 38’s are
available on request.
Our boats regularly take part in the major sailing events such as
Round the Island Race and Cowes Week. The are also a number or
Corporate Sailing events that we take part in, including the Little
Britain Challenge Cup, Manches Cup and IT regatta. We also host a
number of events throughout the year for our clients.
Being the size that we are, we understand the importance of pleasing
individuals and groups alike and will ensure that the course or
event promotes you, your company or organisation and not ours! Our
aim is that you return to us at a later date and on a continuing
basis.
