Happy New Year! It has been a long and dismal winter but the days are getting longer and our thoughts are turning to the new sailing season and what surely will be a long, warm and sunny summer. Now is the time to start planning your sailing in 2009 and we are offering some great opportunities.

Racing News
Beth in particular had a great season in 2008 finishing in the prizes for both the Raymarine Spring Series and Garmin Winter Series as well as getting some outstanding results in Cork Week. She also had some fantastic results in a hugely competitive fleet in Cowes Week whilst on charter to the Royal Yacht Squadron and is definitely one of the fastest J109s around.
2009 will be a great year will lots of events including the Fastnet so if you are interested in putting a team together or would like to join a team give us a call and we will make sure you can fulfil those ambitions. Other key events this year include:

• Round the Island Race
• Cowes Week
• J Cup
• Garmin Winter Series
and many other regattas and offshore events.
The boats are available for Bareboat Race Charter (subject to experience) or we can arrange for an experienced racing skipper to help you round the course.

RYA Courses
We will be running the full range of RYA courses during 2009. Most of our practical courses will be on Lone Star our Oceansis 411, which is a great boat to learn on with four double cabins and plenty of space. Practical courses will start early March so you can get your qualification at the start of the season. Don’t forget we offer group discounts to 4 or more people booking together – a fun way to learn. We will also be running a full range of shore- based courses as well (VHF, First Aid and RYA Theory courses).

Bareboat Charter
If you fancy a cruise or weekend afloat we can provide you with a suitable boat (and skipper if required). A great way to celebrate a birthday or anniversary so treat yourself and get out on the water and blow those winter blues away. Early bookings will qualify for a discount.
