Duration : |
5 days |
This course is specifically set up to
lead you into the exam with a successful result.
Time is spent improving your
skills so that blind sailing hold no terrors for you, crossing a
tidal bar at the correct time to have 1.5m under the keel and, above
all, you will be a smooth operator when it comes to picking up man
overboards under sail or motor.
Yachtmaster Offshore is not a push over
and, as a result, there is a justifiable 'high' on a successful
outcome.
The course runs from 1800 on the Sunday and completes on the
following Friday, however, if you wish to take the examination for the
RYA / MCA Certificate the course will finish Saturday on completion of
examining all candidates.
Expect to stay anywhere between Chichester and Poole, occasionally
France and the Channel Islands. Some nights may be spent in a marina ,
others at anchor, perhaps another against a town quay wall.
